Video-Game drop shotting for Smallmouth on humps and points

Professional bass fisherman on television always talk about the "new generation" of anglers coming up that are way ahead of previous generations with their level of fishing experience, their knowledge of electronics, and the amount of tournament time they have at a very young age.  Well, Kyle Mollics is one of those guys.  Despite being the youngest member of the SSBM Club, Mollica has more time on the water and definitely more understanding of his electronics than many of the older anglers he competes against.  That fact was on display at Long Pond Harwich where Mollica dominated the field by drop-shotting deep fish as they appeared on his graph.  While most club anglers struggled to get bites, Mollica culled up throughout the day to his final weight of 11.08 lb which gave him the victory by more than a 2lb margin.  Not only did he secure his first club win, but he also established himself as the "man to beat" for future tournaments where deep water Smallies are in play.  Congratulations to Kyle Mollica for a great victory!

Mike Drake, a new club member this year, showed off his deep water abilities as well, landing 8.92 lb on 4 fish which put him in second place.  Drake, like Mollica, is also an expert at graphing fish and dropping to them and that was what you needed to do to catch them during a tough Harwich bite.  Congrats to Mike Drake for a solid performance.

Bruce Allen, another new club member and avid Tuna fisherman, used his deep water skills to land a limit of Smallies weighing 7.75 lb which was good for third place.  Congratulations to Bruce for a great finish and to all of the SSBM club members who did battle on Long Pond Harwich.
