2016 Results - Wequaquet

It was a tough bite at Wequaquet Lake, but that didn't stop the Wheeler Boys from finding the fish and bringing solid limits to the weigh in. Brian Wheeler fished shallow cover all day and coaxed five beautiful Largies into the boat totaling 14.50 lb which was more than enough to seal the deal. Brian won by over 3 lb and the victory had special significance as it was his first solo win on Wequaquet Lake after years of high finishes and team-tournament victories. Congratualations to Brian Wheeler for a great win!
Not to be outdone by his son, Bob Wheeler brought in a 10.94 lb mixed bag of Smallies and Largies to land in second place. Bob fished a variety of baits both shallow and deeper to land his five keepers. Tim Farrell locked up third place with four fish weighing 10.00 lb while Bob Wells weighed 8.06 lb on five fish, good for fourth place. Mike Elson brought in a 6.55 lb limit to round out the top five. Congratulations again to Brian Wheeler and to all of the SSBM club members who did battle on Wequaquet Lake.
