Winning Pattern
Creature baits in offshore weed 2' - 5' deep
For Justin Canada, winning the club 2-Day at Lake Champlain required a fairly complex strategy of multiple baits, spot rotation, and expertise with electronics.  Dominating at Lakeville, his plan of attack was a little more "old school" but just as effective.  Working an offshore stretch of submerged weeds that were just topping off on the surface, Canada slowly built his winning bag throughout the day.  After realizing early that his Chatterbait bite wasn't materializing, he switched to pitching a Creature Bait and carefully worked every inch of his weed bed.  With a decent bag in the boat, he moved just to let his area rest, and upon returning in the afternoon he landed two kickers, each over 4 lbs, to cement himself in the winner's circle and bump himself into second place overall in the 2025 AOY race!  With only two tournaments remaining, the AOY race is heating up and should come down to the wire!  Congratulations to Justin Canada for another great victory and for getting one step closer to earning his first AOY!

Mike Elson landed in second place with 10.76 lb of Lakeville Largies.  Working dirt shallow lily pad fields, Elson landed a couple of decent keepers.  Then, he hit a quick flurry on a stretch of docks to boat his two biggest bass of the day.  Adding one more solid keeper from under the lily pads, Elson clawed his way up to his final weight of 10.76 lb and into second place.  Congratulations to all of the top finishers and to all of the club members who showed up to do battle on Long Pond Lakeville!
