Fishing isolated off shore cover with soft plastics.

Bass fisherman are always warned about "fishing history" as too much past experience on a body of water can blind you from figuring out what the fish are doing today. But, history can also be a good thing if you have a milk run of productive off-shore spots that hold fish year after year. And that's exactly what Kevin White did to earn a well-deserved victory on West Monponsett. White rotated through waypoints that he had accumulated over the years, mostly isolated off-shore cover that always holds post-spawn fish. He dredged his areas with soft plastics and was able to load the boat with 14.10 lbs which was just enough to secure the victory. Congratulations to Kevin White for a great win!

Joel Anderson took a completely different approach to the day, but almost landed himself in the winner's circle with a very solid 13.45 lbs which included the tourney lunker at 4.31 lb. Unlike White, Anderson stayed shallow all day and fished shoreline cover with vibrating jigs and top waters. He caught most of his keepers on wind-blown shorelines, and fished all over the lake rather than focusing on specific spots. His strategy worked well and landed him in second place by less than 1 lb. Congratulations to Joel Anderson for a great performance and to all of the SSBM members that did battle on West Mopo 2024!
