Jim D'Ambra capped a brilliant season with an incredible performance at the B.A.S.S. Nation National Championship on Lake Hartwell in Anderson, SC. Fishing as a non-boater on a body of water he had never seen before this week, D'Ambra put his signature carolina rig to work and landed 10 Spotted Bass over two days of competition for a total weight of 15lbs 13oz to secure a solid 6th place finish. As one of only seven non-boaters to catch a limit each day, D'Ambra showed that he has what it takes to catch fish anywhere, anytime. Despite a stingy bite and his boaters fishing a brush pile pattern that was not conducive to co-angling from the back of the boat, Jim managed to make precise casts to areas his boaters passed up and was rewarded with 10 decent Spots. With the top non-boater at only 18lbs, D'Ambra was just a bite or two away from taking home the first place trophy himself. Congratulations to Jim D'Ambra for an amazing season and a fantastic performance at the B.A.S.S. Nation National Championship!
