2016Allen wins 5th AOY
Season Summary
It was another record-setting season for the Southshore Bassmasters, as Matt Allen locked up his 5th AOY trophy, more than any other angler in club history. Along the way, Allen grabbed another record by racking up 104.54 lb of total weight which lands in the number four spot for all-time season weight. He also locked up the top spot on the 2-Day weight list with 38.28 lb at Lake Champlain, and the ten spot on the 1-Day weight list with 18.71 lb at Wequaquet Lake. Congratulations to Matt Allen for a true record-setting season.
Largemouth lunker for the season went to Mike Elson for a 6.17 lb hawg from Lake Champlain which also took over the number nine spot on the all-time lunker list making Elson the only current club member with two lunkers in the top ten list. Lunker Smallmouth went to Tim Farrell for a 4.48 lb Bronzeback from Long Pond Harwich.
Congratulations to all of the winners this season and to all the members of the club that made 2016 another great year for Southshore.
